Provisional EP – TigerDrive

Aberdeen’s TigerDrive throw emo, alt-rock, and bursts of hardcore energy together into their first EP. Provisional is emotional, restless, and totally unpredictable.

Opens with Frogspawn and goes straight for it. Riffs up front, no easing in. It’s tight and loud, with a vocal that cuts through without forcing it. 

This guitarist is an absolute riff machine. Each track has its own hook without feeling at all recycled. I’m Not Hunting You (For Sport) pulls things darker, then Ruby, Enlighten Me slows it right down. That one hits differently. Big, controlled vocals pushing up into something almost classical, sitting over those midwestern emo guitar moments. It’s the emotional shift whether you’re ready for it or not.

SKINT ON THE CHICKEN snaps the pace back up. Fast, scrappy, a bit feral.

Stomach Bug closes it out and might be the one that sticks for me. The verses feel distant and hazy, then the chorus comes in heavy with blast beats and actually lands. There’s weight to it.

It moves around a lot, still figuring out exactly what it wants to be, but that’s part of it. Nothing here feels phoned in.

TigerDrive is a 4 piece Alt/Emo outfit representing Aberdeen, Scotland. They have been powering through the scene since debuting in July of 2025.

Throughout their career so far they have been gaining influence from all corners of the alternative scene. They have recently just released their debut EP "PROVISIONAL" which shows their unique blend of sound and promises something different to listeners. definitely making them one to keep an eye on!
